Get up and running with Microsoft Excel quickly and confidently with our one-day foundations course which now includes the new artificial intelligence features in Microsoft Excel.

This Microsoft Excel Introductory Level training course is designed for individuals who are new to Excel or want to refresh their basic skills. This course will cover essential topics such as creating and formatting a basic worksheet, entering and editing data, basic formulas and functions, data organization and management, and working with multiple worksheets and workbooks. Participants will learn how to use Excel’s basic tools and features to create, edit, and manage data in a worksheet. By the end of the course, participants will have the skills and knowledge to create simple, functional worksheets and perform basic data analysis tasks in Excel.

    • What is Excel and why is it useful
    • Basic Excel terminology (e.g. worksheets, cells, columns, rows)
  2. Creating and formatting a basic worksheet
    • Entering and editing data
    • Basic formatting options (e.g. font, cell alignment, borders)
    • Basic formulas and functions (e.g. SUM, AVERAGE, IF)
  3. Organizing and managing data
    • Sorting and filtering data
    • Using tables and named ranges
    • Basic conditional formatting
  4. Working with multiple worksheets and workbooks
    • Linking data between worksheets and workbooks
    • Consolidating data from multiple worksheets
    • Basic collaboration and sharing features
  5. Visualizing data with charts and graphs
    • Creating and formatting basic charts and graphs
  6. Additional features and tools
    • Using Excel’s built-in tools for data analysis and visualization (e.g. the Data tab, Quick Analysis tool)
